Australian police charged a man with "arson causing death" on Friday over one of the country's deadly bushfires, local media reported.
The reports said the man was charged with lighting a fire near the town of Churchill in Victoria state, that killed at least 21 people.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has described Australia's deadliest bushfires, which killed at least 181 when they swept through the southern state of Victoria on Saturday and Sunday, as "mass murder".
