An Oregon woman, obsessed with rabbits, ended up behind bars after the police found 15 rabbits at her motel room.

Washington District Court judge Gayle Nachtigal passed that Miriam Sakewitz (47) violated the terms of her parole and sentenced her to three months in prison.

Her problems with the law began three years ago when the police found 150 alive rabbits at her Hillsboro home, as well as several dozen dead rabbits in the freezer. She was charged with animal cruelty and banned from being in contact with rabbits for five years.

The police arrested her again in mid-June after she called in the janitor to her Portland suburban motel room over TV set problems. The janitor reported her to the police.
