Teen Cuts Face Up Like Joker, Attacks Teacher

A 17-year-old South Vermillion pupil attacked her teacher with a kitchen knife, Trib Star reports.

Otherwise a role-model student was reportedly under the influence of stress and panic attacks and the police report states the girl went into the bathroom, painted her face white, applied black eye make-up, red lipstick to look like the Joker from Batman. She also cut her face.

As the lesson started, she knocked on the classroom door and came in, got her knife out and approached the teacher, who managed to avoid the attack long enough for the other pupils to run outside.

Several young men remained in the classroom to aid their teacher and called the police. The school counsellor managed to persuade the girl to put the knife down.

The attack lasted some seven minutes and nobody was injured. The girl was admitted into a mental institution, where she will be kept for observation. She If facing expulsion. The police are still not sure what charges to raise against the girl.
