A teacher in an American school insulted the first black president in front of students, both white and black.
A teacher’s aide insulted Barack Obama with his racist remarks on two occasions in a school in
America, a 16-year-old student said, American media reported.
He was yelling Barack Obama would be shot and killed and that children would grow up in a corrupt society now that Obama has been elected, an African American student said.
The teacher also said the national anthem could not be changed to “Move On Up” by Curtis Mayfield, a famous black musician.
The school issued a statement, commenting the teacher’s utterances.
It seems the teacher spoke about negative consequences that could happen in Mr. Obama’s administration. It also seems that certain comments were made in a humorous attempt to describe alleged social problems that might happen during Obama’s presidency, the statement said.
The teacher’s aide who made the remarks about the president-elect has been suspended without pay until further notice and the school is investigating the incident.
