Doctors came to a shocking revelation while performing the autopsy on the body of 75-year-old Ljubica Stojadinovic of the Lucica village near Pozarevac, Serbia. Her sister Radmila ate her foot, after sleeping on her dead body for a month, the Kurir daily writes.
Radmila pilled old objects and a mattress on her sister`s body and used a blunt object to remove the flesh from her foot, which she ate.
- When the police came to see Radmila, she was very weak, had soot on her face and 10-centimetre fingernails. She was lying on a mattress under which she kept her sister Ljubica`s body. When she was asked why she did not report her sister`s death, Radmila replies: `What am I supposed to eat then?` - a source told the Kurir newspaper, adding that the autopsy results revealed that the soft tissue on Ljubica`s foot was mechanically removed, i.e. with an object and it is assumed that Radmila ate her sister`s foot.
After Lucica villagers became suspicion, because they have not seen Ljubica for a long time, they called the police and social services, despite her sister`s claims that she was in a hospital and suffering from a severe illness.
They were living in a ruined home that their father started constructing many years ago and when he passed away, the two of them sought food in dumpsters and waste dumps. Stray dogs lived with them for years and when they died, the sisters used them as food.
The old ladies had no pension or welfare. They survived on litter and the neighbours` frequent help.
