Today’s day in photos brings us photographs of tiger cubs playing in a Scottish nature park. Along with such a cheerful image, we have another, not so cheerful one, which is protests in America. The Americans organised a rally advocating the use of condoms in adult films. 

The sombre photos of members of paramilitary troops keeping guard in the rain in Beijing warn us that  not everything is so joyous.
