Hague prosecutors have evaluated that any agreement that the war criminal Radovan Karadzic could have made with Richard Holbrooke for Karadzic’s immunity is “legally irrelevant”, if Karadzic withdraws from public life, reports Blic.

-.--.-Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic attends a hearing at the United Nations tribunal in The Hague Prosecutor Alan Teeger said that even if the material related to the alleged agreement for immunity existed, it would be legally irrelevant in the case. This was a answer to Karadzic’s demand that he have access to the documents relating to that agreement, which the prosecution has in its possession.

Karadzic claims that Holbrooke promised him immunity from legal processing if he withdraws from public life. Because Holbrooke acted in the name of the international community, the war criminal claims that this promise can be allocated to the Hague court and the UN.

Remember, Karadzic was accused of genocide and other war crimes against Muslims and Croatians in Bosnia Herzegovina, between 1992 and 1995, and at the start of November, he filed a request to the prosecution to see the evidence.
