After German Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung daily wrote last week that peacemaker George Clooney and sensual Sharon Stone decided to aid their friends in the preservation of Serbian territorial integrity, other Hollywood leaders decided to voice their support for "dependent Kosovo".

- The world's most famous stars will, most probably next month, stand in defence of the southern Serbian province in Hollywood, the heart of international movie industry – The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung writes.

- Due to the presidential elections in Serbia, all diplomatic activities related to resolving the final status of Kosovo-Metohija have been halted, including the intention of the Western states to recognize the unilaterally declared independence. Once this issue gets to the forefront again, which is expected to happen in February, the world-famous stars are determined to organize a protest in Hollywood, to which they will invite all the just-minded people from around the globe, to stand up in defence of Kosovo – the paper continues.

Richard Gere: "Something`s fishy"

One of the first of her friends to have been "recruited for the campaign of Serbia with Kosovo" by Sharon Stone is Richard Gere, famous for his love for Buddhism and Tibetan independence campaign. Until recently, Gere was reserved when it came to Serbian aspirations to keep its province, but the German daily reported he will be joining the protest against the split. The fact that Western powers are consistent and uncompromising in their views is reason enough for Gere to conclude that there is something wrong with the entire staging.

- There must be something [else] about Kosovo, since they are so bent on seizing it – Gere said.

George Clooney said in a recent interview that he would like to her the Serbian side of the story, as it has not had a lot of coverage in America, according to him.

- Serbian lobby is very weak in United States and all one can hear or read comes from the [pro-independence] Albanian lobby and lobbyists. I can't hear the other side – Clooney explains.

Sir Sean Connery also offered his opinion on independent Kosovo, concluding that the Albanians simply cannot have more rights than their fellow countrymen, Scotsmen.

- During its history, Scotland has had far more grounds to be granted independence, but it was not allowed to secede. What could possibly be the difference between my homeland and Kosovo, to create such a precedent now?! – rightfully wonders this "outstanding gentleman".

Mighty little crowd

According to writings that have appeared online, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Michael Douglas and Robert De Niro will support Serbian territorial integrity. The later spent his student days wandering around the Serbian village of Sumadija, where he spent, according to his own words, memorable days, socialising with Serbian farmers. De Niro named his daughter Drina, after Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andric`s novel "Bridge on Drina River".

It seems someone has set alarm bells ringing, and the whole of Hollywood is on alert. Actors and directors who subtly point to global intrigues with their work have already formed a mighty little crowd, which has clearly smelled a rat when it comes to independent Kosovo, for which Serbia has guaranteed almost impossible autonomy before the UN.

Bondsteel military base and corporate independence

Somewhere in the background of the Kosovo story is the Bondsteel army camp which is purely accidentally the largest base the Americans have set up on foreign soil since the War in Vietnam. A joke which was often told by KFOR soldiers describes its size best: "Which two things can be seen from space? The Great Wall of China and the Bondsteel camp".

On a serious note, it should be kept in mind that Bondsteel (which was allegedly supposed to ensure the return and then security of refugees in Kosovo) was, purely by accident, situated nearby "vital" oil pipelines, like the Trans-Balkan oil route and it can easily be hinted that from the start of the millennium, Kosovo has been “governed” by the same corporate giants that set out to Iraq with an illegal invasion in order to secure profit. In the end, the greatest interest for the Serbian province`s independence is of the administration that is “governed” by such corporations like Halliburton Oil, Kellogg's and Brown and Root (KBR).

Bondsteel is not that famous for other things, therefore not many people know that it is the “European version of Guantanamo”, as Alvaro Gil-Robles previously stated, when he toured the base on behalf of the European Council, as envoy for human rights.

In the near future, the Balkans will not be peaceful and if something is for sure, then it is the fact that there is not a touch of altruism behind the call for uncompromising Kosovan independence. It is more likely that yet another magical game is behind it all and we can easily classify it as a part of the modern American (Russian and British) imperialism.

In the end, the entire ruckus about Kosovo and Macedonia is becoming clearer if we remember the great eighth corridor, the “energy axis” which is supposed to connect the oil terminals of Central Asia (The Black Sea) and the Mediterranean. The corridor which none of the powers will easily give up, whether they are great or small.
