Dark Car In Princess Diana Case
Inquest has heard the testimony of French spouses who mention a large dark vehicle for the first time and metal hitting metal. The BBC reports statements of witnesses who claim that Princess Diana`s Mercedes suffered a “hit”
from a large dark vehicle upon entering the Parisian tunnel in the early hours of August 31, 1997.
Jean-Claude Catheline and his wife Annick testified from their homeland France via a video link. According to their testimonies, two cars entered the tunnel side by side. Earlier media reports speculated of the Mercedes and a white Fiat Uno cramming in the tunnel and this is the first time this vehicle was mentioned.
- As soon as the car disappeared from our view we heard what sounded like the bodywork bumping, I think that this noise was before the car entered the tunnel- Jean-Claude Catheline said and his wife added:
- Right afterwards, we heard screeching tyres-.
The married couple found themselves near Pont de L`Alma tunnel after spending the night in the vicinity of the Eiffel tower, where they walked back to their car.
“Very, very fast”
The couple was in the company if their daughter Marie-Agnes and her boyfriend (husband today) David Le Ny when the accident occurred and both of them confirmed what was stated.
- When we were already in the tunnel, below the bridge, we heard noises like two cars bumping into each other – said Marie-Agnes, while Le Ny said:
- It was going very fast. I remember the noise coming from the engine ... I certainly made a comment, stating that they were crazy or something like that-.
“… stating the truth might cause ruination in GB”
Father of Diana`s driver Henri Paul, who was also killed in the car accident, voiced today to British press that the authorities used his son as a “scapegoat”.
Jean Paul claims that his son had to throw out a “mystery stranger” out of the Ritz hotel, only several minutes before sitting behind the wheel, which proves –Henri was not drunk at the time, according to him.
Accusations were also forwarded to the French police who refuse to give back the belongings of Henri Paul that were in his possession as the accident happened. His ID and wallet are in question, with traces of his blood, which is the main reason for refusing the request, according to Jean, because testing the traces could easily prove Henri was not under the influence of alcohol at the time.
There is a trace of hope in my heart that the truth will one day come out, and stating it might cause ruination in Great Britain-.
After mentioned accusations were publicised in press, spokesperson of Mohamed Al Fayed (Dodi`s father) called Jean Paul to forward his suspicions to the inquest.
-Anyone who disposes with relevant information must forward them to the inquest judge so that the jury might hear and evaluate them – the spokesperson said.
