Croats Found In Bosnian Mass Grave

Supposedly, Slobodan Miljkovic Lugar killed the Croats, found in the tomb, in 1992. So far, 12 remains have been found.

- So far, we have discovered 12 remains of war victims. According to the figures of the Bosnia-Herzegovina National Institute for Missing Persons, 18 remains of war victims should be included in this primary mass grave, mostly Croats who were prisoners of the Magacin camp at the village of Crkvina – Marko Jurisic of the Bosnia-Herzegovina National Institute for Missing Persons told Hina news agency over the telephone.

According to Jurisic, the excavation has started on Wednesday, while the identity of Luka Gregurevic has preliminarily been established. Mortal remains were transported to the Odzak morgue and the identity will be determined by DNA analysis.

According to witnesses, these Croats were killed on May 2, 1992 by Slobodan Miljkovic aka Lugar, Jurisic said. Stevan Todorovic, a sentenced war criminal, ordered the bodies to be taken to the Gornja Crkvina location and buried in a mass grave, Most killed Croats were imprisoned in Samac for a period of time, where they were abused and beaten.
