Chicago Tribune journalist, Rick Morrissey, fulfilled a promise he made two years ago when he said that he would eat his column if the Frenchman, Joakim Noah, ever become a useful player for his NBA team.

After Chicago Bulls drafted Noah in 2007, Morrissey wrote that he would publicly eat his column if the French player significantly contributed to his team’s victory.

Four days ago, during the match between Bulls and Charlotte Bobcats, Noah scored 21 points, collected 16 rebounds and blocked four attacks, so Morrissey decided to fulfill his promise.

The reporter came to the training hall with cameras, apologized for interrupting the practice, opened a newspaper and cut out the article. After adding ketchup and mustard, he ate it in front of delighted Noah.

In the first eight games of this season, Noah averaged 11.5 points.
