`This will result in flight delays to both inbound and outbound flights,` the company said in a statement.
Airports Company South Africa said the incident occurred at around 1240 GMT, but gave no further details.
"This will result in flight delays to both inbound and outbound flights. We are working hard to clear the aircraft off the runway. As soon as we know how long this will take we will issue a further notification," the company said in a statement.
