A member of an ambulance crew has been charged over the death of a man he had been sent to treat, police said on Thursday.
Karl Harris, 44, was charged with misconduct in a public office and with acts tending and intended to pervert the course of justice, Sussex Police said.
The charges follow the sudden death of a man in Brighton last November.
Media reports said Barry Baker, 58, who lived alone, had called the emergency service to say he was having a heart attack. Harris was in the ambulance crew sent to the house.
Police said a 35-year-old man who had also been arrested had been released and will face no further action.
