Rennes Rise To Second With Win At Lorient

Two late goals gave Stade Rennes a 2-1 comeback win at Brittany derby rivals Lorient on Saturday to put them second in Ligue 1.

Seven-times champions Olympique Lyon, who lead the table with 35 points from 18 games, visit Caen later on Saturday.

Lorient opened the scoring through defender Jeremy Morel in first-half stoppage time before two goals in the last 16 minutes by substitutes Asamoah Gyan and Moussa Sow left Rennes on 34 points.

Olympique Marseille, Girondins Bordeaux and Paris St Germain, all three points off the pace, play on Sunday.
