Ivo Karlovic said goodbye to PBZ Indoors after he was beat by Ukraine’s Sergiy Stakhovsky with a result of 6:4, 3:6, 6:3. The Ukrainian player stole Karlovic’s serves twice and Karlovic’s game oscillated from set to set. He played the first and third sets badly, while in the second set he managed to take the serve.
Karlovic was not precise
Stakhovsky won the first set after he took away Karlovic’s serve at a result of 4:4. Ivo made a lot of mistakes in his serves, but later he began serving more aggressively and did not have much problem until the ninth game when last year’s tournament winner stole his serve.
In the second set the tennis players did not lose their serve until the fifth game when Ivo took the serve and won the set 6:3. Karlovic decided to play aggressively, which yielded results, but at the result of 4:3, Ivo lost his serve after being imprecise three times. Stakhovsky ended the match with an ace and qualified for the quarterfinals.
