


The Polish handball team managed to win the bronze medal after a deserved victory over Denmark
at the World Handball Championship with a result of 31:23.
The Danes started off well
The first goal in the game was struck by Denmark’s Christiansen. In the first half-time Denmark maintained a lead point, twice they made it to a two points lead, but five minutes before the end of the first half-time Poland took matters in their own hands and left the court at half-time with a three points advantage. In the first half-time, Poland was led by Karol Bielecki and goalkeeper Szmal who defended the goal nine times.
In the second half-time, Poland struck the first goal and Denmark just could not even the score. They were two points behind in the 20th minute of the second half-time and they had a player more, but Poland showed their strength and despite a player less, managed to score three goals without receiving any. The best Danish player was Hansel Mikkel with ten goals.
