Although he will have surgery in some ten days, there are no fears about his recovery, which will surely take three to four months.
Mirko Filipovic Cro Cop has left 2008 behind by winning against Korean giant Hong Man Choi, while he rang in 2009 with announcements of a knee surgery, which was scheduled for today. However, Cro Cop is not lucky and everything was postponed due to flu he caught.
Although he will have surgery in some ten days, there are no fears about his recovery, which will surely take three to four months, after which Mirko will start training and enter the ring once again mid-year-
What is most interesting is that he will return to Japan and fight three more times in the Dream organisation, thus, the possible comeback to disliked UFC cage will surely not happen before 2010, if at all. Mirko is too much in love in Japan, and Japan is in love with him. He also feels much better in a ring, than he does inside a cage.
Even though many thought his career was over, Cro Cop dismissed the criticism the best possible way and can now continue with the challenges that await him in peace. Once of the greatest obstacles is to recover well after the therapy and be equally strong.
