The 23 year old Croatian handball representative Ivan Cupic, who is a member of the Slovenian club Gorenje, has had a successful operation on ligaments in his right knee, said the spokesperson of the Croatian Handball Federation Zlatko Skrinjar.
Doctor Matjaz Sajovec successfully carried out the operation in Celje, and now Cupic will have to spend months recovering from it, with the process starting in Slovenia’s Zrec.
“The doctor is happy with the operation, and so am I. I feel good, besides being tired from the operation. I now need to start with rehabilitation, and as soon as it is possible, return to handball” said Ivan Cupic after the operation.
The Croatian handball player injured his knee one week ago at a Slovenian league match against Preventa, in which he scored nine goals.
