The secretary of the Croatian Football Federation, Zorislav Srebric, is presently in London where, together with Vlatko Markovic, he went to visit badly injured Eduardo da Silva. 

According to Srebric, Eduardo is optimistic and there is no alteration in his behaviour, especially not any depression.

- Eduardo took everything well. I saw a lot of strength and optimism in him. There is no sign of depression. He is the one who holds his family together with his optimism. I have seen all sorts of injuries and the change of behaviour they cause, but a faith like Eduardo has, I have never seen – said Srebric for Hrvatski Radio.

However, he did not want to make any prognosis on how long Dudu will be off of the field.

- It is hard to say how long he will miss. We have not talked to the doctors, but we hope that it will be shorter than the first prognosis. He will surely take everything the doctors prescribe him.

As regards the possibility of carrying on with rehab in Zagreb, Srebric stated that this information has not been confirmed.

- This has not been confirmed yet. It is understandable that Arsenal does not want to let him go just like that. We thank them all. We thank the whole team that was present and that took care of everything after the accident. The most important thing is that Eduardo stays where he will have optimal condition to recover – said Srebric.

Then he revealed an interesting thing. Eduardo will most likely join the Croatian national team in Austrian and Switzerland, not to play of course, but as support to his team mates. It is still not 100% sure, but if his condition is satisfying, then Eduardo will watch the Euro, at least from the stands.
