CRUDE REALITY

It is hard to imagine the Israeli telling a sports reporter Hajduk is in for a difficult away match in Sesvete.
Collaboration between Hajduk FC and Avram Grant, as things are now, exists only in the wildest dreams of individuals who want to increase the value of Hajduk`s power, as opposed to the crude reality that this is a club which has not managed to get to the highest position of the First Croatian League for a long tome now, let along be in the position that someone like Roman Abramovich is interested in it.
There might be common denominators if we consider that Roman is really fond of Dalmatia and that he finds it interesting that Hajduk has a 30-year lease over Poljud stadium.
We can only guess where Grant would see his place here. The Israeli has offers from several English Premiership clubs and an excellent business record with Chelsea, where his 4 million euro contract is surely not less important than a foggy million euors Hajduk has to offer per season.
Although many Split citizens are suspicious of Grant`s “exaggerated” quality, which is normal for Split, it is hard to imagine the Israeli telling a sports reporter that Hajduk is in for a difficult away match in Sesvete.
Still, it is nice to dream that big bucks want to sunbathe in the Adriatic Sea. Anyways, it would be a pretty picture.
