Tamara Pernar: I Share All Models’ Dreams – Vogue

All of those that remember last year’s holiday editorial published on Javno, will certainly remember Tamara Pernar, who met with a professional photographer for the first time, and won over all of those present with her expression.

As a model for the Midikenn agency, she actively started modelling last summer, and in a short period of time she won over the editors of respectable fashion magazines and posed for War Magazine, Nylon, Dazed & Confused and Harper’s Bazaar, and wore clothing for the fashion shows Asish, Loralie, Vivienne Westwood charity show in London etc. The 20 year old Tamara has up until now won over two fashion capitals: Paris and London, but as she said herself, she is not too happy with the results she has achieved in Paris, which she blames on her braces for her teeth. However, the same braces were an advantage in Britain, but has removed it in the mean time.

“My braces that I had then were an obstacle for Paris, whilst in London they liked to point it out. A new season is now starting, without braces, and I will win over Paris, they must seek me” said Tamara.

The young model with envious results is delighted with the relaxed and communicative people in London, in which there is employment for everyone, whilst Paris has high standards and large demands. After finishing the school for applied arts and design, Tamara did not dedicate herself to shaping metal, but decided on modelling as a full time job. Her life wish, just like every other models’ is to be on the cover of Vogue.

“I think this job needs to be taken seriously, because it is a great business and you need to be persistent. I will give everything from myself” said Tamara.

My philosophy is: take what most suits you from each philosopher

In her free time Tamara relaxes by listening to jazz, Roy Hardgrove, Jeff Miles, Dinah Washington, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and the sounds of old hip-hop from the period of Grandmaster Flash. She stresses that she is currently going through a Richard Back phase, and that his philosophy has gotten under her skin. Tamara also added that she is very interested in philosophy and that for the construction of your own vision you need segments from higher philosophy, of course, those which suit somebody the most. Tamara looked at her own career in that style. Success for her is guaranteed.

“It is hard for me to look into the future, when my present situation is unclear. I definitely want to stay abroad, I do not exactly know which city, for now Paris is in play, but there is so much I have not tried, and that can very easily change. I love acting, so I think that I will investigate that field a bit, who knows in which dimension I will end up in the end, I do not even know what tomorrow will bring. This is why it is the easiest to live in the moment as best as you can, and channel your energy towards ‘now’” concluded Tamara Pernar, a new face that will be talked about a lot.
