Popcorn & Coke have as many calories as 3 burgers

Laboratory analysis of your favorite box office snacks showed that the average serving of popcorn and a drink contain about 1160 calories and 60 grams of saturated fat, which is a quantity enough for three days.

Analysis was conducted by the Center for Science and the Public Interest (CSPI).

- Who would expect that popular combination of popcorn and soda drink contains about 1500 calories and saturated fat enough for three days? - CSPI's nutritionist, Jayne Hurley, said.

- You think that you are dealing with a harmless Bambi, but in fact you are being attacked by GODZILA – she says.

Two people, who share a small portion of popcorn, will receive a daily dose of saturated fat. This kind of fat clogs arteries and is usually associated with heart diseases.

If the popcorn is topped with butter, the number of calories increases by another 130.

- When you ask for a popcorn topped with butter, it's like asking to have your fries topped with oil - she added.
