PHOTO: Vuitton's show dominated by memorable wigs

Text

Vuitton has described the collection as a ‘street fashion enriched by a cyber-hippie, tribal-punk-style’.

Louis Vuitton revived a Golden Age of the 1980’s and 1970’s, which were marked by striking art and subculture, the extreme ideas and legendary afro style, at the Paris Fashion Week.

It is a collection described as ‘street fashion enriched by a cyber-hippie, tribal-punk-style’. All models wore huge colorful wigs in afro hair style.

Collection was dominated by short coats and dresses, as well as short, very tight shorts. The entire collection could be called chaotic: there were tribal motives from Navajo Indians, reminiscent of earlier Madonna style and clothing with Wild West influences.

As before, the front rows of the show were heavily occupied by starts. Catherine Deneuve, Freida Pinto, Leighton Meester, Sophie Dahl, Jamie Cullum, Katy Perry, Alison Goldfrapp and Daisy Lowe are just some of them.

Afro hairstyles are usually associated with people of darker skin; however, Vuiton sees them on everyone. Of course, for this oversized look, you must have a natural predisposition, specific hair type and hairdressers with a wealth of experience.
