Since the crisis took hold, Karl Lagerfeld decided to take his models to rural areas, more specifically to a village. Chanel’s models crawled around the farm, chased each other among hay stacks, and evoked the the times of Queen Mary Antoinette.
Innocent white robes fluttered among hay stacks, and Karl’s muse, lily Allen, sang especially for this occasion.
The show was dominated with crocheted dresses of rural motifs, monochrome blouses with matching short skirts and little jackets, plenty of champagne color as well as occasional white or black.

High-heel clogs
The only strong colors were purple and red which brought a taste of luxury to the farm. What we were particularly impressed with, were clogs with amazingly high heels.
Barefooted bride and groom, with giddy female escort, played in grey pants that reached just below the knee. There were also some garters and laced skirts which made the whole atmosphere even more intriguing.
As many times before, the first rows of the show were occupied by celebrities among which Claudia Schiffer was one of the most elegant – she wore a long and tight beige vest. Rihanna was also there wearing her white top without shoulder pads and a blue skirt up above the knees.
