Reuters-.--.-The catwalks of Rome were the next to be hit by Obama fever, where high fashion designers used the character of the new American president Barack Obama as one of the main motifs of their creations. One dress of “hope” was dedicated to the first lady Michelle Obama.

Designer Guillermo Mariotto, who designs kaftans for a Rome fashion house, recalls being at Times Square when Obama was elected, adding that he is a real fashion icon.

Red and beige dominate, with the slogan “Change”

Mariotto sent a model onto the catwalk dressed in a kaftan down to her ankles, with long sleeves made from natural materials. It included a large print of the new president in red and beige, with the slogan “Change” at the bottom of it.

Pink dress of hope

Neapolitan designer Fausto Sarli dedicated his best fashion creation to the American first lady Michelle Obama, who represents light in the desert. A pink dress covered in crystals is in question. It is dedicated to the message of hope that Michelle can convey to the world in this time of crisis.
