Fashion house Ralph Lauren has become a subject of a debate after the photos of French-Swedish model Filippo Hamilton, who stars in their new campaign, horrified everyone who saw them. Fashioin giant was criticized because the waist and hips of Miss Hamilton looked a lot smaller than her head.
During the period when the fashion world is particularly sensitive to using “skinny” girls, who present themselves as role models for young ladies and often promote eating disorders, this marketing gaffe was definitely not needed.
- In these 42 years we have built a brand that is based on quality and integrity - said a spokeswoman for the fashion house. She also told the public that the company acknowledges responsibility for the bad retouching which led to disfiguring of the 23-year-old model.
