Online shops are growing more and more popular and there are more fashion designers who want to sell their luxurious creations in such a way. Still, the legendary Karl Lagerfeld has a negative disposition towards the subject, WWD writes.
- I like the physical contact with the goods. There is nothing exciting about buying something online, even when it comes to luxurious clothes - Lagerfeld believes.
Although the designer buys CDs and books online, he claims he prefers going to bookshops. Why not, since he owns one himself?!
Lagerfeld believes that a great shortcoming of this type of shopping, especially when it comes to haute couture and luxurious fashion is that people cannot experience the (lack of) quality of design, materials, cuts or fashion accessories.
Karl believes that clicking destroys all the joys of shopping, but stills believes the Internet is an excellent tool of interpersonal communication.
