Eyelashes transplant includes taking hair from the back of the head and placing them on the lids.
Louise Thomas (19) of Stockport has trichotillomania, disease which sees her obsessively plucking hairs from her body. This is why she was the first patient in Great Britain to undergo an eyelashes transplant, the BBC writes.
The procedure includes taking hair from the back of the head and placing them on the lids. Such eyelashes slowly become firmer after for to six months following the treatment.
- After suffering from trichotillomania for 17 years I had accepted I`d never have real eyelashes again. Then I heard about this treatment. The results are absolutely amazing – Thomas said, who was thrilled with the news of the transplant being possible.
