As if her millions of album sales were not enough, the singer Taylor Swift has joined forces with L.E.I. in order to design dresses together, which will be sold at low prices in Walmart.
“I love dresses” said Taylor for People.com. “And I have always had this dream to make an affordable sundress line”.
Taylor has already cooperated with L.E.I. last year on a denim collection. Now they are cooperating with Wal-Mart, who placed the dresses on sale on February 1.
She created what she would wear herself
The singer Swift will also participate in the commercial campaigns, and finds inspiration, as she says, in her own life and experiences that she has had up until now.
“I started brainstorming what I would wear this summer, on tour or hanging out at festivals when its hot outside” “I was totally adamant that I wanted [the dresses] to be affordable. With my headlining tour, we are offering $20 tickets everywhere we go and I wanted to approach the sundress line in the same way” “To have cute dresses under $20 is something I am really proud of” said Swift.
Her dresses are shiny and light, with bold colours and youthful prints, and will sell for only 14 dollars, which the singer is proud of. “My absolute favourite is the dress that I wore to the CMAs this year. It was the Kaufman Franco glittery one” she added.
Even though she has a lot of money, Taylor always prefers comfortable and cheaper pieces of clothing, and never wears designer models on the red carpet.
Taylor has still not decided what she will wear for the Grammy Awards, but dreams of a dress by Oscar de la Renta.
