Russia,Ukraine PMs Expected To Ink Gas Deal Monday

Putin and Tymoshenko announced in the early hours of Sunday that they had reached an outline deal to end the disruption to gas supplies.

The prime ministers of Russia and Ukraine are expected to personally oversee the signing of a gas supply and transit agreement in Moscow on Monday, Interfax news agency quoted a Russian government source as saying on Sunday.

"It is expected that the documents will be ready for signing on Monday and will be signed in the presence of the prime ministers of Russia and Ukraine -- Vladimir Putin and Yulia Tymoshenko," the source told Interfax.

Putin and Tymoshenko announced in the early hours of Sunday that they had reached an outline deal to end the disruption to gas supplies to Europe. The two leaders said their respective national gas companies would work out the details during Sunday.
