IDC expects that the information technology worldwide would produce another 5,8 million of new posts in the next four years.

From the end of 2009. until the end of year 2013. in the information technology sector in Croatia will be opened 6.000 posts together with nearly 200 new companies, shows an IDC analytical house poll on the subject of information technology influence on economy. Poll was carried out in 52 countries, sponsored by the Microsoft.

According to the poll results, IT consumation in Croatia in year 2009. will be 6,4 billions of kunas. From the end of 2008. until the end of 2013. consumption in the IT sector will increase 4,8 % per annum, while the businesses linked to IT only in 2009. will generate 2,4 billions of kuna in taxes, which in the next four years will generate another 1,5 billions of kunas in new taxes net worth.

This sort of consumption increase, quoted in the poll results report only means that the professionals' employment in IT industry companies in next four years will increase for another 6.000 posts, including a pole position of 26.000 IT professional posts in year 2009.

Given the fact the the software consumption portion will reach merely 14 % out of total IT consumption in the year 2009., 48 % of employments in the IT sector will be linked to a software, says IDC.

IDC also says that the IT market by the end of the year 2013 will initiate a generation of nearly 200 new companies at which point most of them will be smaller, local companies. Throughout the world IDC expects that the information technology in the next four years will generate 5,8 millions of new work posts while initiating a birth to 75.000 new companies.
