Promotional and sales campaign ‘Buy Croatian’ organized by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (CCC) was strongly supported by the citizens and companies that participated in the campaign, CCC said at today's press conference.

The poll was conducted on the sample of 2.319 people and 427 companies in the period from April 20 to September 19.

The results show that more than 80 percent of citizens are ready to allocate more money for Croatian products than the foreign products of equal quality. It was also determined that 94 percent of citizens agree that we need to buy Croatian products because it helps the economy.

71 percent of the surveyed companies rated ‘Buy Croatian’ campaign as excellent, 27 percent considered it good, while the efficiency of the campaign in increasing company profits was rated as either good (45 percent) or very good (24 percent).

Siniša Bužan-.--.-98 percent of respondents said that they would like to participate in the campaign again, while 95 percent of them believe that campaigns like this need to occur more frequently.

Number of brands using “Croatian Quality” and “The original Croatian Product” labels rose from six to more than 300

These results, according to Director of the Trade Sector and coordinator, Milica Rakusa-Martulaš show that campaign accomplished its goals and that consumers are aware of Croatian products in the increasingly competitive global market.

‘Buy Croatian’ campaign was launched in 1997 by the Croatian Chamber of Economy and its purpose was affirmation of Croatian products.

Chamber President, Nadan Vidosevic, said that during the past twelve years the number of products bearing campaign labels increased from six to more than 300.
