ZAGREB, CROATIA – Block of faculties with the goal of establishing free education, organised by the Independent students` initiative continues at the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy. Although the bloc has been lifted in all other Croatian citizens, after the plenum on Thursday night, which lasted three and a half hours, the Faculty of Philosophy students unanimously decided that the bloc continues, which was the same conclusion at the Art Academy in Rijeka.
Let us buy Croatian students
Can you really buy everything? An apartment, a car, friends, love, KNOWLEDGE?! It seems that the later one is definitely so. The very core of this performance is included in the slogan `Knowledge is not a commodity`, because if knowledge is a commodity, then we are all, us students, also a commodity. Therefore – buy us! A bar code guarantees quality. Try it out, examine it and buy at the cost of a year`s scholarship. You, who support us, who understand us – come! Lay down with us on the shelf, take your bar code and be purchased! There is no better feeling than when you know you have realised the point of your existence. The sale will be held in Ban Jelacic Square, Zagreb, on Friday at 11 hours. See you there!Faculty of Philosophy Council meets on Tuesday when it will decide on the continuation of lectures and sanctions for students who participate in the bloc.
Students: we are waiting for minister to shout: Free education!
Students commented on the fact that Croatian Education Minister Dragan Primorac cheered “Resignation! Resignation!” together with the students. They called the minister disoriented and pointed out it would be better if he shouted “free education” with the same enthusiasm as he shouted “Resignation! Resignation!” at himself.
You can see the footage in the attached video clip: Minister To Himself: Resignation! Resignation!
Minister Primorac told the Jutarnji list daily that he did not wish to hurt anyone and that his reaction was spontaneous. Furthermore, he said that according to his information, some students thought this move was delightful.
