President Stjepan Mesic will stay in New York from September 21 to September 24 where he will participate in the General Assembly of the UN, the president's office said on Friday.
Croatian President arrived to New York from Havana on Monday after a two-day official visit to Cuba.
On Tuesday, Mesic will participate in the World Summit on climate change, and he should also meet the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon.
President Mesic will participate in the Thursday session of the UN Security
He will lead the Croatian delegation at the opening of the 64th General Assembly of the UN on Wednesday, where delegates from 192 member countries are expected to participate.
President Mesic will participate in the Thursday session with the UN Security Council, where he will discuss the problems of nuclear weapons, and he will also partake in the regular autumn session of the UN General Assembly.
Croatian President will speak at each of these meetings.
While in New York, President Mesic is expected to have a range of formal and informal meetings with individual members of the UN General Assembly
