SIBENIK, CROATIA - Influential members of the HSP (Croatian Party of Rights), around 20 people from the region of the Sibenik-Knin County, are officially members of the HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) from today. This information was released at a press conference held this morning in the Sibenik branch of the party, before the cream of the local HDZ party.

“We successfully entered coalitions with HSP in the Sibenik-Knin County government, and in some other regions. We had enough for a government without them, but we chose their local party leader Ante Tanfar to be vice-mayor of the county, and after the last local elections we cooperated very successfully whilst he was leading HSP. However, the climate in that party has changed, and we are happy that those people are now with us” said the HDZ parliamentarian Ante Kulusic, who is the absolute head of HDZ at all levels in the Sibenik-Knin County.

The head of HSP until today, and one of the most influential members of the party, Ante Tanfara, who was a member of HSP’s main board, said that his former party chose the wrong path.

“From a slightly right oriented party it has become extremely right wing, which enters coalitions with anyone” said Tanfara. He added that another 42 members of his former party returned their party cards, but that he does not know if and how they will be politically active in the future.

However, this is why Tanfara has his opinion on the alleged candidate from HSP for the Sibenik-Knin mayor, he called Gordan Barak a sunflower, and said that Ante Supuk was Snow White who had awaken from a long sleep.
