SENJ, CROATIA – After the first parts of the crashed aircraft were found on Tuesday morning, stories began going round that the bodies of the crew members had also been found. 

In order to reveal the truth, we contacted Lila-Senj police spokeswoman Kristina Maodus.

- The Cessna has not been found, only parts of it. The bodies have also not been found. They could

be in the vicinity of the parts of the plane, but for now that is only speculation. The rain is making the search difficult, as is the unattainable area that is rigged with mines. It is already getting dark and the search will stop for today – she told us.

Special police officer suffered serious injuries 

When asked if a special police member had been injured during the search, she said:

- During the search, there was an avalanche that rolled onto the special police member and he broke his leg. Because of the break and other injuries he sustained he will be hospitalised at the Gospic Hospital – the spokesman told us.

We wanted to know if there any clues that would indicate why the crash occurred.

- It is difficult to say. The details of the accident will be known only after the on-sight investigation is completed – Maodus said and added that numerous members of the special police are there on the field to continue the search which was started six days ago.

A member of the Search and Rescue Service, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the speculation is that the accident occurred when the pilot of the Cessna, while flying towards the Vagan Summit on Mount Velebit, suddenly turned the aircraft, which the plane could not withstand, so it crashed.
