Sreten Jocic aka. Joca Amsterdam, was arrested for the murder of Nacional weekly co-founder Ivo Pukanic last week. Soon, witnesses will be examined in this case, however, the Serbian prosecution is still looking into the information about the person who ordered the murder, a source close to Serbian jurisdiction revealed for the Blic paper.
- All information is being analysed and looked into – the source said, adding that witnesses form Croatia would most probably testify via video link.
Sreten Jocic was arrested on April 27 at his home in Dedinje. After 48 hours in custody, he was brought before investigative judge Vucko Mircic, who appointed one month in custody.
Jocic is charged with criminal association and severe homicide and it is also stated that he has formed a crime group which decided to assassinate Ivo Pukanic.
Sreten Jocic dismissed all claims that he was involved with the Pukanic murder, saying there was not a single piece of evidence against him., He pointed out that he was pulled into police-political games in Croatia.
Croatian authorities have submitted information and evidence, which they gathered investigating the case, to the Serbian prosecution.
