Misetic: Gotovina And Markac Are Not In Conflict

In an interview that took place during 16.03.2007 on the topic of working in the service of national security, our speaker, the current ambassador of Croatia in Hungary, Ivan Bandic stated how the removal of the lawyer Separovic from the case of defending general Ivan Markac is the result of the case of general Gotovina and general Markac.

Our editorial board was contacted by general Gotovina’s team of lawyers, headed by Luka Misetic, with a statement that says that lies are in question, and that the generals are not in conflict.

“That is not true, general Gotovina and Markac are not in any kind of “conflict”. Both of them have stated this through their lawyers many times and recently in public. Unfortunately those who constantly but unsuccessfully “push” those stories do not have any reason to do so. Those kinds of stories and insinuations have always been around, but recently the ones pushing those stories are the ones who feed themselves and house themselves in the same way that Ivan Bandic does. This is why we will try to deny and debate all of them no matter if the person inventing them does it “part time” or “full time” – it says in the statement.
