ZAGREB, CROATIA – It is not easy for Croatia’s Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor. After everything that has happened in the exactly one month since she took oath before the Croatian parliament, her smile is fading away, however she tries to look optimistic in a turquoise-blue little dress in which she posed for photographers in Bol on Brac Island where she is spending her short vacation.

In the one months, the prime minister passed two government budget amendments, a crisis tax and an increase in VAT, as well as an agreement on the border dispute with Slovenia. And today, along with congratulations, the fruits of anger are forwarded to her: unions have announced general protests in all Croatian towns which will culminate on September 15 in Zagreb and at the same time, a web site dedicated to her has been opened on the internet www.jadranka-kosor.com, dedicated to toppling the incumbent prime minister and government.

Volunteers looking for a real and honest government for Croatia

According to the main site, the portal deals with “the greatest shits of our government and politics”. They are looking for volunteer reporters, graphics designers and creative people and instead of a salary, they promise “Your pay will be a clear conscious and your articles in which you too will raise your voices so we can all together get a real and honest government. Hmmm… we wonder if this is really possible”.

The portal has only just been started, the owner of the domain decided to remain anonymous and-.-aukcije.hr-.-Ivan Cvirn they have already initiated two civil actions. They are offering for sale the famous t-shirt “I don’t need sex, the government f….. me every day”, with whose proceeds they will help cameraman Ivan Cvirn who got fired for wearing the same t-shirt in the government building, and they issued a public tender for “the best open letter to Jadranka”.

“We believe that just like us, you too have something to say to the people who have been carrying out a policy in Croatia that is responsible for today’s economic and political state of the country. So, we are inviting you to collect all the energy you have been saving until now and write a letter that will thrill the Croatian public. The best letter will be officially submitted to the government and prime minister a day after the big protest that is being announced in Zagreb and all media will also publish it. So, sharpen your pens and be diligent and honest – as opposed to “them”.

What will Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor say about this initiative and the angry letter they will send her?

Perhaps her famous sentence: “I will not tolerate such behaviour.”?
