Ivana’s Killer Bought Pistol From Army Member?

Text

The weapon used to kill Ivana Hodak is owned by the Pula resident Zdravka Aleksic. She gave it to a soldier, who sold it to Zila.

ZAGREB, CROATIA - The 7.65mm Beretta pistol that was used to kill Ivana Hodak, is owned by the 75 year old Zdravka Aleksic from Pula, writes 24 Sata. It is stated that Zdravka inherited the pistol from her husband Otta who died in 1992, after which she gave the pistol to a man who worked in the Croatian Army, whose identity she did not want to reveal.

She only said that a 50 year old man from Zagreb was in question, and that it certainly was not Mladen Slogar Zila who the pistol was found with. She decided to keep quiet about the identity of the person she gave the pistol to after the police suggested she say nothing about the pistol, more precisely the person she gave it to.

The police have information that Slogar bought the pistol ten years ago for 700 deutsche marks.

“I only wanted to move the cursed weapon from the house” said Aleksic. Even though we tried to contact her, Mrs Aleksic refused to give any new comments to the media, saying that she has had enough of everything and that she wants peace.

That military person, as far as can be seen, sold the pistol to Slogar, which was confirmed by the father of the murdered Ivana Hodak, Zvonimir. As he says, he has knowledge that Slogar bought the pistol in the early 90s, for 700 deutsche marks.

“According to the information that I have, the police have one witness who claims that they sold the pistol to Slogar ten years ago for 700 deutsche marks. I do not know if he was a military person, but it is possible because Slogar was a civilian face in the former YNA (Yugoslav People’s Army), i.e. before 1990, so they might know each other from there” said Zvonimir Hodak.

Remember, the murderer of Ivana Hodak was arrested on February 6, exactly four months after the brutal murder. After the committed crime, Slogar did not throw away the pistol, but kept it for himself, so that the weapon was found on him around 3 o clock when he was arrested. It was that circumstance that was critical to solve the case, because the ballistics experts from the crime expert centre, determined that it was the pistol that killed Ivana Hodak.
