- Because he mislead the public and because of series of lies that the mayor Zeljko Kerum presented in the ‘Sunday at 2’ TV show, I, as a resident of Split and in the name of the truth, seek from Mr. Kerum to resign as mayor -  Dr Dujomir Marasovic said for Slobodna Dalmacija paper.

- It is not true that the Split maternity hospital was built on the principle of ‘unfinished’, as Kerum said on Croatian National Television (HRT), nor is it true that the maternity ward is missing ceilings, air and light – Marasovic said. He also added that it is true that the technical review of the maternity ward should be around October 15 and that the opening is scheduled to happen 15 days after that.

‘It is obvious that Kerum’s parents did not do the best job of raising him’

- Kerum deceived both the Split and the Croatian public, and after the opening of the hospitals, all the citizens of Split will be able to see that Kerum lied - said Marasovic. During the ‘Nedjeljom u 2’, talk show,  Kerum called Marasovic a big-mouth, but Marasovic said that he was not upset about this and that he plans to use the truth, enlightenment, education and a home-learned etiquette to fight Kerum.

- His statement speaks volumes about his own character and will not harm me in any way. Anyone who gives such a statement has no home etiquette. As a citizen of Split, I am ashamed to have a mayor with such uncivilized communication methods as Zeljko Kerum - said Marasovic to Slobodna Dalmacija and added that Kerum won the elections using lies and empty promises.

According to Marasovic, Kerum wanted the power only to realize his own private interests and to save his fallen business empire. Marasović also said that it was obvious Kerum was afraid of HDZ party because he expected everyone in the City Council to be on his side.

- He did not think that the HDZ would be his opposition, as they decided in a recent session of the party committee - concluded Marasovic.
