Ambassador to Spain Neven Pelicaric presented credentials to the King of Spain on Thursday, thus taking over the duty of Croatian Ambassador to Spain, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration announced.
After the credentials were handed over, the Spanish king wondered about Croatia`s NATO and European Union accession, expressing support of his country for membership in both organisations.
Continued co-operation
The Spanish king also wondered about the development of Croatian-Spanish cultural and economic relations, as he expressed satisfaction with the growing exchange of tourists between the two countries, something which new airlines of Croatia Airlines and Iberia contributed to.
Ambassador Pelicaric forwarded greetings from Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, as well as an invitation to Croatia, the announcement reads.
