ZAGREB, CROATIA – According to unofficial information, the murder of Ivana Hodak was not a culmination of mafia showdowns or a warning to her father Vladimir Zagorec, her father`s client, but happened fore reasons nobody could have imagined.

The police have arrested a tramp named Mladen Slogar (61),  who is suspected of the murder. Many years ago. Mladen was employed in a company represented by the father of the murdered girl, attorney Zvonimir Hodak, the Mladost Tennis courts of the Jarun Sports Recreational Centre.

The Zagreb tramp, who because homeless after losing his job, planned his retaliation against the Hodak family for years. Several days before the murder, he got hold of a gun and his vengeance ended in bloodshed.

Croatian Interior Ministry has summoned an outstanding press conference concerning the murder of Ivana Hodak, daughter of Zagreb attorney Zvonimir Hodak, the police directorate confirmed for us.

- The murder is solved, the murderer was arrested, the motives are clear – Krunoslav Borovec of the police directorate told Javno news site.

According to the Jutarnji list daily, the murdered was arrested at 3 a.m. on Friday, and a gun was found in his possession, used to kill Ivana Hodak.

Murder solved after four months

Ivana Hodak was murdered with two shots to the head on October 6, 2008, exactly four months ago, in front of her apartment in downtown Zagreb, just a hundred metres from the Zagreb Police headquarters. The only daughter of Zagreb attorney Zvonimir Hodak and Ljerka Mintas Hodak was 26 years old and worked as an intern at her father`s office.

Passers by told reporters that they that they saw an unmasked man running out of the building where Ivana Hodak lived at 11 hours, aged between 30 and 35, wearing a grey jacket, who ran towards Ban Jelacic Square. An eye witness said he did not hear gun shots.
