SPLIT, CROATIA – Split-Dalmatia Police Department announced details of their inquest on Tuesday regarding the tragedy in Pazdigrad, Split, which started at 22:30 hours and ended at 3:30 a.m. The police questioned family members and the neighbours to determine the motive of the murders.
Ljubomir Zaradic killed his family and then himself with an army automatic firearm of East German production, from which at least seven bullets were fired. The weapon was found under the killer`s body and was in the position to fire.
Zaradic first killed his wife Orijana and daughter Deni in the living room and then went to the children`s room, where he killed his son Trpimir, followed by suicide. The wife, daughter and son were sleeping when they were killed.
The police said that there was no suicide note, no information to suggest that Zaradic was being treated for psychic problems and he does not have a police record.
