Final results of the legionnaire`s disease probe came in from the Croatian Public Health Institute for two Valamar objects in Porec and they undoubtedly confirm that there were no legionnaire`s disease bacteria in the Valamar Crystal Hotel and Valamar Diamat Residence suites, where foreigners were staying who came to Croatia to support their handball team during the World Handball Championship this January, Marina Majic Crnkovic, PR agent of the Valamar Hotels And Summer resorts company writes in a press release.
This confirmed preliminary results of the HZJZ, which pointed that the cause of this infection was in the Zatika sports hall, and not the hotels and private accommodation, as certain media initially guessed, the announcement continues.
In the meantime, the bacteria were absolutely destroyed in the Zatika sports hall and its further appearance was prevented. The hall was open to the public on February 20 and is functioning as usual.
