CROATIA, ZADAR - An anonymous call citing that a bomb has been planted at Zadar’s Kolovare hotel, arrived tonight at Zadar’s daily newspaper “Vox Glas Zadra”.
All of the handball players that will continue the competition are staying in Zadar’s Kolovare hotel, amongst which is Serbia’s team.
The police were informed by a journalist from the local newspaper.
“A bomb will explode at the hotel” said an unknown person to the newspaper, whose workers immediately informed the police, we find out from the Zadar police department.
The police have arrived at the hotel and are searching it. The handball players were not evacuated from the hotel, and an expert team of police officers searched all of the critical places in the hotel. Also, the police advised that the handball players do not leave the hotel without police escort.
We find out from the Zadar police department that they are quite certain that a false bomb alert is in question. Considering the tight security at the hotel, they consider that it is impossible that somebody planted a bomb.
