Marge Simpson’s beehive hairstyle that defies all the rules of gravity is an artificial creation, said the author of the popular animated series The Simpsons, Matt Groening.
The unusual hairstyle was inspired by the film The Bride of Frankenstein as well as his mother’s hairdo from the 1960s, said Groening to The New York Times.
Marge, Homer and the rest of the famous family from Springfield will move from the TV to the big screen on Friday, when the feature The Simpson Movie is released.
The animated character of Arnold Schwarzenegger will play the U.S. President. “We needed a president that would make people laugh. And Schwarzenegger was the obvious choice,” Groening said.
