Terminally ill reality television star Jade Goody has been transferred to hospital as her condition worsens.

Goody, who married her ex-convict lover Jack Tweed in a blaze of publicity last month, was taken to the Royal Marsden hospital in London after complaining of acute stomach pains, newspapers reported on Monday.

"She phoned me in floods of tears saying 'I just can't stand this any more,'" her publicist Max Clifford told the Daily Mirror.

"I asked her where the pain was and she said in her tummy, which is where it was before they operated to remove a blockage in her bowel."

Goody, who revealed last year she had cervical cancer, hurriedly arranged to marry Tweed, 21, after doctors told her the cancer had spread and was terminal.

The Sun published a picture of 27-year-old Goody clutching an oxygen mask to her face as she was stretchered into the Royal Marsden on Sunday.

She had moved into a hospice on Friday so she could be given pain-controlling drugs to ease her condition.

Goody plans to have her two young boys from a previous relationship christened on Saturday, as well as being christened herself, Clifford said.

Goody was a dental assistant before she appeared on the TV programme "Big Brother" in 2002 and has since ridden the rollercoaster of instant fame to become the show's best-known participant.

In 2007, she took part in Celebrity Big Brother where her racially tinged tirade against Bollywood film star Shilpa Shetty led to nationwide vilification -- and even more fame.

Shetty sent her best wishes for the wedding, although she did not attend.

"I want people to forget the past and pray for her," she said.
