Rapper Flo Rida Tops U.S. Singles Chart

Rapper Flo Rida ended Alicia Keys' five-week reign on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart Thursday with his debut single "Low" featuring T-Pain.

The track rose one place to No. 1, swapping places with Keys' "No One." The Keys song was also bumped from the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart after 10 weeks -- by another Keys tune, "Like You'll Never See Me Again."

"Low," by the way, goes into the record books as one of seven No. 1 hits in the 48-year rock era to share the crown for shortest title. The others are: "Why," Frankie Avalon (1959); "ABC," The Jackson 5 (1970); "War," Edwin Starr (1970); "Ben," Michael Jackson (1972); "Bad," Michael Jackson (1987); and "SOS," Rihanna (2006).

The rest of the top five on the Hot 100 was unchanged: Timbaland's "Apologize" featuring OneRepublic at No. 3, Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss" featuring T-Pain at No. 4, and Fergie's "Clumsy" at No. 5.

Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer" rose one to No. 6, trading places with Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly," which ruled the Adult Top 40 chart for the 10th consecutive week.

Jordin Sparks' "Tattoo" held at No. 8, while Sara Bareilles' "Love Song" rose seven to No. 9 due to continued exposure from a Rhapsody TV commercial. Rihanna's "Hate That I Love You" featuring Ne-Yo slipped one to No. 10.

The Hot 100's top debut was Alvin and the Chipmunks' "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late) (2007)," at No. 70. The update of the 1958 holiday evergreen appears on the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" film soundtrack, which soared 19 places to No. 48 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The film, a surprise smash at the box office, has sold $95 million worth of tickets after two weekends.

On the Modern Rock chart, Seether's "Fake It" ended the record-breaking 18-week run at the top by the Foo Fighters' "The Pretender," which slipped to No. 2. "Fake It" was also No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock tally for an eighth week.
