Robert Downey Jr. is unhappy with ‘Iron Man’ bosses – because they haven’t made him his own superhero costume.
The actor – who reprises his role as industrialist Tony Stark and his metal-clad alter-ego in ‘Iron Man 2’ – was promised he could have a suit to take home with him, but he is still waiting for his memento.
He said: “The producers keep telling me that they're going to give me a suit with all the bells and whistles but I still don't have it. I don't know, maybe I should get it in my contract. It would be great to have one at home - a talking point.
“I suppose it would be a case of worshipping false idols, which I don't have any trouble with as long as the idol is made in my image!”
Downey stars in the movie with Gwyneth Paltrow, who reprises her role as his assistant Pepper Potts, Scarlett Johansson - who plays Natasha Romanoff and her alter-ego, sexy Russian spy Black Widow - and Mickey Rourke, who plays super-villain Whiplash.
But it was Samuel L. Jackson, who plays spy Nick Fury, who Downey enjoyed working with the most.
The 44-year-old star said: “Samuel is such a bada*s and such a talent. We didn't have much time with him but we really, really did something special I think. It’s a great sub-plot to the movie.”
'Iron Man 2' is due for release next May.
